What is the easiest way to learn XHTML and CSS for a class in school especially with so many things to know?

I have a project for the end of the term and with so many things to try and apply, is there an easier way or good websites to make the process a whole lot easier? It can get confusing at times because I’m not big on programming.

If you want to purchase a guidebook, I recommend Sam’s Teach Yourself xhtml/CSS in 24 Hours ($30-$40 USD). Comprehensive with a reference section, 1 hour per lesson (and you really only need the first 8 for the basics- of course, if you’re more interested, you can learn the rest). It’s very easy, helps you along, gives you examples and helpful questions/answers to test your knowledge.

If not, w3schools.com has some pretty good lessons and examples (where you can tweak the html and see instantly what it will do).

Hope this helps!
