Q&A: What’s a reliable, small, playlist player that you can embed in website?

Question by blrpg: What’s a reliable, small, playlist player that you can embed in website?
I’ve tried a few and either they’ve said “No music in player” when I’ve already put music into it or it just doesn’t play.

I have a website that has html and I can embed it into that. A player that I can put one or two songs into from the player’s menu of music.

What are tags?

a) The tag provides metadata about the html document. Metadata will not be displayed on the page, but will be machine parsable (ww.w3schools.com). This simply means that tags are hidden when your website is opened on the internet. Meta elements are typically used to specify page description, keywords, author of the document, last modified and other metadata. The tag always goes inside the head element.

b) Some Important tags: The following are the basic tag: “description”,”keywords”, “robots”, “Author”. “description”, simply describes what your website is all about and it is usually displayed in search engines. As an example, type Ashiedu.com on Google search and view how it is displayed. You will see the following:

The first line is the Title of our home page while the main body of the text above is the ”description”. I guess you are now beginning to appreciate the importance of “description” tag! It is your first marketing tool on the web and you need to have a good description that shows at first glance,what your website is about. “Keywords” are words that search engine users trying to locate your business on the internet will generally type. As an example, in designing a vehicle lease

website, you might have the following key words “vehicle”, “Lease”, “vehicle lease”, “London Vehicle Lease”, “Vehicle Lease London”. Full detail of how to

How to add these Tags

I can submit the form and receive and email when I hit “run PHP” on my yahoo account or if I run the flash contact form movie from the flash software. It doesnt work when I upload the php and flash form to my website.

Little confusing. Works on Yahoo account but not on website. If website is not the Yahoo account, then the website may not have SMTP enable to send email. Your current hosting package MUST allow SMTP ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_Mail_Transfer_Protocol ) to work. Otherwise, no email can be sent.

Hypertext Markup Language, or HTML, is a markup language used to create websites. While it is useful to have some familiarity with HTML coding when creating a website for your online business, you can still build a website without HTML know-how by using site creation software such as Dreamweaver or Frontpage. These applications have user-friendly ‘WYSIWYG’ interfaces that allow you to design the site visually so you can see how it is going to turn out before uploading it. You can also download free site creation applications, such as NVU, if you’re on a budget.

The first step in designing your website is deciding what content, such as text, titles and graphics, you want to appear on the web pages. Then make a sketch of the site on a piece of paper so you can see where the different elements will appear on the pages. Do you want two or three columns on your website? Where will you put the buttons? What about graphics? Are the different elements in balance? Once you have finalized the design, you can input the information into the site builder application’s interface to create the site.

You’ll have to import the graphics and pictures you want to appear on your site, since they cannot be embedded directly onto the web pages. Before uploading pictures on to your website, you’ll want to edit them to make it faster for the page to load by using image editing software. Resample each of the digital pictures to a resolution of around 72 dots per inch (dpi). You can also use the editing software to retouch the pictures to make them look more attractive.

Finally, once all the elements are in place on your website, preview them on several web browser programs to make sure the site will appear online the way you want it to. Then, upload it onto your Internet web host.

You can also build a website without HTML by signing up with sites that offer you a combination of domain registration, web hosting and site creation software for a monthly fee. The advantage of going this route is that you will have all the technical support you need to create your website. You also have the option of using one of their pre-designed templates and then just customizing it for your own needs. If you run into any problems that require html code, you can usually find the relevant code by doing an online search; just paste it onto the html editor.

You can also build a website without HTML by signing up with free web hosting sites and using their site building tools. Their applications are easy to use, utilizing an interface similar to that of word processing programs. This is advisable if you’re just starting out in your Internet venture and you have no HTML knowledge. A free web hosting solution also usually allows you to use your domain name on their site, although some may charge you an additional fee to do so. However, there are many limitations when you’re using a free web host which could affect your ranking in search engines, so you may eventually have to shift to a paid web hosting solution when your business takes off.

Hi guys,

I urgently require a search website function for a website I have built. I need it to simply search my website by keyword and deliver the results in an organised manor.

I have been iven a JAVASCRIPT solution which looks like it could work but I am an amature when it comes to JAVASCRIPT and have no idea which part of the code I need to edit to make it work with my site! I have some PHP experience but no JAVASCRIPT.

Below is the code – could someone please explain which bits to edit? Thank you for your time – you are properly saving my bacon!

Just after the magic happens you have this comment.

Then you have this.

These are the pages with the details that you can search on and are in the format described by that comment.
The first line must start

If you have been wanting a website of your own for a long time, but have been scared due to lack of HTML knowledge, you can still have a happy home on the web…and I can show you how! The first thing you need to know is that, contrary to popular belief, you do NOT need to know HTML in order to have your own website. In fact, building a website can be so easy that even a child can do it!

The first thing you need to know about building an HTML-free website is that the type of “webhost” or “host” that you need to look for is a website host with a website editor. Sometimes these are called: editors, wysiwyg(pronounced “whiz-e-wig” and an acronym for “What You See Is What You Get) editors, site builders, site editors, or even template builders. But the most important thing you need to know is that you DO NOT have to go with a “free” hosting company that forces advertisements on your page. While companies like Freewebs, Bravenet, Geocities, etc. do provide an easy sitebuilder, they don’t allow you the freedom of your own domain name, FULL control over your website, or add-free webspace. Many non-free hosting companies have easy sitebuilders as well – and you can often get this type of hosting very cheap, as low as per month or possibly less!

When you use non-free website hosting you can use your own domain names, use a more professional @yourdomain.com email address, install different scripts on your website, and much more! And all of this is much easier than it sounds.

The first thing you will need to do to set up your own website, is to purchase a domain name. There are many different domain registrars on the internet. GoDaddy is the one we recommend, however a Google search for domain registration will also give you many different results. Once you have purchased your first domain, you will need to purchase website hosting. Check out my author bio for my own hosting company which offers reasonable hosting services. Once you have purchased webhosting, you will receive information from your new webhost that will contain your new nameservers. You can try to set your domain nameservers yourself by logging into your domain purchasing account, however it might be easier just to call the company you purchased the domain from and ask them to change the nameservers for you.

Once you’ve set your domain’s nameservers, the rest is easy. Login to your new website’s control panel, and login to their particular editor (you, did of course remember to purchase from a website host that had an easy sitebuilder right?) and begin building your HTML free website. Publish it to your directory, and voila! You now have your very own domain, your very own website, and full control over all of it, at very little cost and with NO knowledge of HTML.
