Question by webmastertroi: In html, text between is how you make it bold. Whats the language called when bold is [b] [/b]
I know html pretty well but some sites don’t respond to html when you add it into “text areas” like on chat profile pages or chatboxes. But there IS a language that uses brackets to define text/image attributes instead of the common “<>” in HTML. Anyone know how/where online i can learn how to use that?

Usually the [b] .. [/b] syntax is called BBcode. Mainly found in forums and sites that allow members to post HTML-like qualities to their entries, but don’t want to risk the HTML-hack/abuse that can occur.
