Question by Dead Wizard: CSS background image not showing up?

There is a sidebar on the right side of this page (“What we do” column) which is supposed to have a blue background on it. The background image is not showing up, despite the fact that I’ve used almost identical code to call css background images on the rest of the page. I’ve tried uploading all the files in questions again, in case one didn’t get totally uploaded the first time, but still no luck.

The css is this:

Are you sure the image isn’t damaged? When I try to just look up the image by typing it to the end of the url it says:
“The image “http://www.cooksonpublishing.net/zounds.png” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

I would check the image, maybe change it to a jpg and see if that helps you out. I can pull up your header background with no problem at all so it must be the image itself.

You can use some CSS for alignment. CSS style margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto for instance. Another way is to wrap the image in a span or div tag (forget which) and use a CSS style, text-align: center

I’m not sure on the scroll bar not appearing. I know that there is a way to do it, but it’s been a long time since I’ve looked it up. I do know it was CSS, HTML, or Javascript that did the trick, though. Try doing a google search on it, and you should find some more info on scroll bars.
