<p>Out of curiosity, is there an alternative to CSS, particularly for positioning/layout, when styling x<a href="http://htmlindex.net" target=_self>html</a> content? I am excluding Flash as a viable alternative.<br />
<br />You can style without using actual stylesheets, but you&#8217;d have to use the &quot;style&quot; property in each tag you want to style and then that&#8217;s still technically stylesheets.  Obviously you can style any tag using its built in HTML properties, but beyond that &#8211; using things like margins, padding, borders etc&#8230; on all tags is simply not possible without using stylesheets.  I don&#8217;t really know why you&#8217;d have the need to try &quot;styling&quot; a page without &quot;stylesheets&quot; which are meant for that very thing.</p>
