Question by blrpg: What’s a reliable, small, playlist player that you can embed in website?
I’ve tried a few and either they’ve said “No music in player” when I’ve already put music into it or it just doesn’t play.

I have a website that has html and I can embed it into that. A player that I can put one or two songs into from the player’s menu of music.

All I can think of is eSnips… though I’m not sure if it wants to do what you’re trying to do, but try it anyways.

if your going to have this multiple times at recommend using a stylesheet and doing a table class for width:50; and using

for it so you would only have to do it once

I want to add a new hyperlink within the html.
Got it. Thank you very much. I think that’s what I was looking for. Sorry for not being a “code” guy. I just do text, with the exception of a small amount of hyperlinkage.

You already have a hyperlink in that HTML. Although, you have a huge waste of CSS there – all of the style information you have on the anchor tag is pointless, and also invalid – cssFloat: has no value after it. You should remove the entire style tag from the A element and put all your styling on the image itself.

I also see a cssFloat attribute in the image style that has no value. That needs to be removed.

Edit:

OK, then either put it before or after the existing anchor tag… some text or image

I’m trying to create a link to either view a pdf or download a word/pdf doc.
I am using Dreamweaver and have followed the usual steps to create a link. However when the website is viewed and the link is clicked, no prompt to save doc happens, instead the page opens with the url address for the word doc but nothing can be displayed.

When right-click on link to save you cannot save with the extension .doc or .pdf (ive tried both) instead it asks you to “use .html”
I dont know what im writing wrong in my html on the site.

(i know there are spaces, it wasnt showing up)

Everything seems in order. I have tested it on 2 browsers as well.

Please any thoughts would be apprciated, any! Ive tried so much.

My browsers are fine for downloading from other sites,

i need it to be compatible for all types of users so i dont want the option of saving as all. it needs to run smoothly.

yes it is in my directory, it is in my wwwroot folder, i have tried putting it in a new folder as well and linking to that.
it is not a word 2007 doc,
i have tried the link for a pdf as well.
my website doesnt have php or asp cababilities.
Please read my question entirely,
If you can easily save the link as a word doc and view it then tell me, I dont think it is my browser.

and I dont feel so stupid as I knew none of these answers would correct my issue.

Despite all the answers it was merely a type error and the file url when copyed in a browser showed that it had a space before it, Dont ask me how that happened on two files, both pdf and doc!

It appears that you didn’t copy the “MichaelBennett.doc” file up to your website.
At least not in the main directory, where your “Paintings.html” and other files already are.

not showing the resume message name in the “files” location in attachment. Under text attachment it has “scan and save to computer and when i click on it resume appears. But it has the same message under the html attachment. So how would the employer know which one to go to for my resume if it just has scana and save to computer other thatn my subject at the top. Normally my email attachment has “my resume” in the file attachment at the bottom also. Please help

Unless it was specifically asked for you to e-mail your resume as an attachment I’d advise you to cut and paste it into the body of the e-mail. Considering the number of viruses these days, employers generally prefer resumes in the body rather than as an attachment.

If they requested it as an attachment, they will figure out themselves which one to open. They aren’t stupid. And it’s possible it’ll show up differently on their end than how it does on yours. Don’t stress. They’ll get it either way and you can follow up in a few days if you don’t hear from them.

Well, Chrome being able to defeat IE or Firefox is debatable. I know I find Chrome to be faster than both of the others, which is why I use it.

EDIT: The fact that Firefox comes preloaded on Ubuntu distros helps them greatly.

Just put the path relative to the html file, like:

My photo (same folder as the html file)
My photo (inside image folder)
Image (outside the folder)

You may also put the absolute path like c:\myfolder\…, but it’s not recommended.
