Where do i upload my index html file at when at the ftp file manager?

My website won’t work it says the link appears to be broken i uploaded it into the public html folder the site still won’t work…. help?

If the file is named "index.html" and you have set up your DNS settings correctly, that should work. Try viewing the file from the host’s control panel.

    Some servers can change the default webpage to view. Try various names like default.html or index.php etc. There’s probably a few. All else fails, contact your webmaster.

    If you are the webmaster, change your PHP settings if any.

    If there’s not any – pass.

    Hello,

    If it is in Linux, depending on the OS you may need to place the file in the htdocs directory to make it publicly viewable. Your webhost should have access to check the permissions as that may be an issue as well.
