How do I make my index.html page load automatically?

Currently I have to type www.iub.edu/~iugop/index.html

How do I make it so I only have to type www.iub.edu/~iugop

If the web server is using Apache, you need to create an .htaccess file in the same folder and add the following to the file: DirectoryIndex index.html If you are not using Apache, you will need to contact the admin.
